Loqu8, Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates the Copyworks desktop application and the copyworks.loqu8.com website. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What We Collect

Telemetry (anonymous). The Copyworks app sends anonymous usage events to help us improve the product. Each event includes:

• A random device identifier (generated locally, not tied to your identity)
• App version, platform, and event type (e.g., "app_launch", "pdf_export")
• Approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address by Cloudflare

We do not collect your name, email, IP address, or the content of your worksheets. The device ID is a random UUID stored only on your machine.

Purchases. If you purchase a Family or Lifetime plan, the transaction is processed by FastSpring, our merchant of record. FastSpring collects your name, email, and payment details. We receive your email address and order information to grant your entitlement. We do not store your payment card details.

Website. The copyworks.loqu8.com website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log IP addresses in server logs for security purposes. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on our website.

How We Use Your Data

• Anonymous telemetry: to understand usage patterns, prioritize features, and detect issues
• Purchase email: to grant and manage your software entitlement
• Geo data (country/city): to understand where our users are and prioritize localization

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• FastSpring — payment processing (as merchant of record)
• Cloudflare — website and API hosting

Data Retention

Anonymous telemetry events are retained indefinitely in aggregate. Purchase records are retained as long as your entitlement is active, plus any period required by tax law.

Your Rights

Because we collect minimal data and telemetry is anonymous (no email, no name, no IP), there is generally no personal data to delete. If you purchased a plan and want your purchase email removed, contact us and we will delete it (this will also revoke your entitlement).

Children's Privacy

Copyworks is designed for use by parents and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app itself collects no personal information — only anonymous telemetry with a random device ID.

Opt Out of Telemetry

You can disable telemetry in the app's settings. When disabled, no usage events are sent.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
