Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Copyworks, a desktop application published by Loqu8, Inc. ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Copyworks, you agree to these terms.
1. License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Copyworks on your personal devices. The Free tier is free of charge with limited features. The Family and Lifetime tiers require a paid subscription or one-time purchase.
2. Free Tier
The Free tier includes basic worksheet generation with limits (up to 20 characters per worksheet, watermark on PDFs). No account or payment is required. We may change Free tier limits at any time.
3. Paid Plans
- Family Annual ($29/year): Renews automatically each year. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of your billing period.
- Family Lifetime ($49 one-time): One-time purchase. Includes all current and future features for the life of the product.
All payments are processed by FastSpring, our merchant of record. FastSpring handles billing, tax collection, refunds, and subscription management. By purchasing, you also agree to FastSpring's terms.
4. Refunds
You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase for any reason. Contact us or use FastSpring's order management portal. Refunds are processed by FastSpring.
5. 7-Day Trial
New installations include a 7-day trial of Family features. The trial is device-local and automatic — no credit card required. After 7 days, the app reverts to the Free tier unless you purchase a plan.
6. Intellectual Property
Copyworks and its source code, design, and branding are owned by Loqu8, Inc. The worksheets and PDFs you create with Copyworks are yours — we claim no rights to your content.
Character data is derived from Make Me a Hanzi (Arphic Public License) and dictionary data from CC-CEDICT (Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0).
7. No Warranty
Copyworks is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the software.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Copyworks is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
